Gardens are great, but what would they be without bulbs? There is no plant family which more pleasantly reflects seasonal changes.
This page is going to be a diary of bulbous plants and perennials, as they grow at my home (in Houston, Texas) and my brother Matthew's (in Edinburgh, Scotland).
After much deliberation, we have decided that we will also add other tuberous rooted plants which are frequently clumped with bulbs, and even gingers.
